This 5 day course takes learners from a very basic level of understanding of how the Plastics Manufacturing process works, and teaches solid fundamentals of raw materials, safety and housekeeping, time management, and concepts such as the importance of mould and machine maintenance. The course then goes onto build on the fundamentals learnt by teaching technical skills such as correct start up and shut down procedures as well as efficient purging techniques. 


People who should attend:
Production and Quality Trainees, Packers with the capacity to develop into mould changers and setting, Production Foremen, Production technicians, team Leaders, etc. that need and have the capability to be fast tracked.

This technology specific skills program is aimed at assisting learners (with basic knowledge and experience such as setters, mould changers, quality personnel, artisans, etc.) achieve competence on part of the National Certificate in Plastics Manufacturing dealing with the following:
